We have been privileged to be with my wife’s side of the Family as her brother has a home at the beach by Pacific City, in Oregon. It was a time of rest, fun, & communicating about the future as a family with the thought of maybe losing a mother, grandmother and great grandmother one of these days. It makes one realize we all are going to die and no one really knows when. Life is in Gods hands and we trust Him to continue to bless us as we live for Him. So it is good to continue to share with Blessings from Ephesians the 1st Chapter. Let’s look at the 13th verse In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. Are we trusting in the word of truth, or are we trusting man? It is Gods Gospel that allows us to believe for our salvation. Men can do a great job in presenting the Gospel today, as never before. We have more technology that makes things come alive, entertaining to our emotions making us feel good. It is not music, teaching and preaching that saves us, it’s believing in the Word of God, disciplining ourselves and obeying it. Then God blesses us with making sure we are sealed by the Blood of the Lord. Just as one buys something at a store it is sealed by a device that has to be put under a scanner and when we purchase the item they take off the scanner and it becomes ours, by giving a receipt of purchase. |

I certainly want all to know who read what I’ve written the Lord speaks to me and I am responsible for what I say. I am blessed and that is what I want to share with others as we study the Bible together. I hope your understanding more fully Ephesians 1:12 That we (Jews) (then us Gentiles) should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. That is the privilege we have as parents as we see our kids accomplishments in everyday life. Do we glory in the fact they are our kids, or that we are the parents? J. Vernon McGee’s Thru The Bible said, “God does not exist to satisfy the whim and wish of the believer. The believer exists for the glory of God. When the believer is in the center of the will of God, he is living a life of fullness and of satisfaction and of joy. That will deliver you from the hands of psychologists, friend. But when you are not in the will of God, there is trouble brewing for you. Living in God’s will adds purpose and meaning to life: we are going to be for the praise of His glory.” |

Are we really seeing all that the Lord has blessed us with, in the package of salvation? Spiritual Blessings, chosen us, predestined us, adopted us, made us accepted, redeemed us, forgives us and now we look at verse 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Who do we have faith in God, or Satan? Who has chosen us and called us unto Himself? How do you obtain anything? Is it not work just to have faith in God for deliverance of sin? That is having the ability to just say NO! Resisting is more difficult to day, for we hearing you have to listen to authority. Who’s authority, mans or Gods? Yes, God created us for His glory and said, just do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He created us so we would learn to obey, and since we didn’t He came with a purpose of dieing for our sins, we could not do it. God gave Jesus power to endure the shame and take upon Himself the sins of the world. Notice if we believe, the promises are ours if we are obedient. God predestined all the world be saved, but few are chosen because more do not want any help of any kind. |
