Spirituality in America was the head lines for September 5, 2005 “Newsweek” magazine, which was an in depth report from www. Beliefnet. As I read this I was sadden to know that everyone that thinks they are Christians are not, for many follow there concept of God, not what the Bible says. God does have a people who have been called out and set aside, to represent the Lord of Host. Romans 1: 21-32 Not everyone that believes in a God has accepted God as personal savior. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. |

I have taught life skills at the Restitution Center for the last 5 years. The classes deal with conflict resolution, anger management, domestic violence, care of cares, achieving your potential, excellence, winners, overcoming addictions, death and dying, moral recognition therapy, the mind, abundant life, reducing conflict through trust building and change in a changing world. Those who are incarcerated bring anger, depression, anxiety, into the Restitution Center and I see many find the Lord. As they accept the Lord, He is able to deliver and set them free from any addiction of sin that robs one of victory. Those who have read this web page see I cover many subjects, all of which is my opinion based upon what I feel the Bible says, is the truth. If at any time anyone feels I am not telling, or reporting the truth, please let me know. As I say, to our residents in jail, if at any time you hear me speak, understand that there may be a bone, or two, but please spit them out. I am not interested in what man thinks, but interested in what the Lord says in the Bible. So please if you have any concerns of what I am saying contact me by phone, 972-8254 or, jv4him@msn.com |

We have been privileged to be with my wife’s side of the Family as her brother has a home at the beach by Pacific City, in Oregon. It was a time of rest, fun, & communicating about the future as a family with the thought of maybe losing a mother, grandmother and great grandmother one of these days. It makes one realize we all are going to die and no one really knows when. Life is in Gods hands and we trust Him to continue to bless us as we live for Him. So it is good to continue to share with Blessings from Ephesians the 1st Chapter. Let’s look at the 13th verse In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. Are we trusting in the word of truth, or are we trusting man? It is Gods Gospel that allows us to believe for our salvation. Men can do a great job in presenting the Gospel today, as never before. We have more technology that makes things come alive, entertaining to our emotions making us feel good. It is not music, teaching and preaching that saves us, it’s believing in the Word of God, disciplining ourselves and obeying it. Then God blesses us with making sure we are sealed by the Blood of the Lord. Just as one buys something at a store it is sealed by a device that has to be put under a scanner and when we purchase the item they take off the scanner and it becomes ours, by giving a receipt of purchase. |
