We are back in Yakima from our three week vacation as we attended the Assembly of God Chaplaincy Conference in Springfield, Missouri. I felt like I needed to give you an idea of the content of our conference, so you can continue to pray for our ministry here in Yakima. We had one of the most blessed times of our lives. What your reading is from my note taking, so I trust you will be encouraged, as we were. Al Worthley the National Leader for the Chaplaincy Department of the A/G started off the conference with talking about the State of the Department. We are apart of the larger picture, as A/G is becoming a major player, yet we have a lot of work to do. Everything is changing and the question is, now what do you want me to do? The States and the Government are putting pressure in many forms upon us and we need to make sure we are ready for the challenge. The military, health care are praying in Jesus Name and many times it is offensive to the listener. We need to pray in Jesus Name, but make sure it does not become offensive to the listener. Let’s make sure we are, loving at all times in our conversation and prayer to God for others. 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning His promises”, we need to understand this as our core belief. God has not changed his method of conversation, Peter was a confronter, Paul was able to intellectualize, the impotent man had a testimony, the demon possessed had a potential. The Samaritan women was given an invitation. Dorcas showed a serving spirit. So we see God as the Lord of the harvest described in John 15. Let's be witness of what the Lord has done for us, and make it current, so you’ll be transparent to your hearers. The past is important, but how did you get to the now, is more important? The harvest can’t be assumed you have to cultivate, water, prepare, plant, water and fertilize and care until time to harvest. That is work Take care of yourself, you only have one life and it will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last forever. 686 Chaplain enforced, medical 314 Correctional 372 and we have the military as well and we need to all think in terms of there is coming a time of harvest, telling your story enhances the Kingdom of God. What happens to our tithes? Over 60 Billion Dollars going to everything with in the Church, how much of it is used for Chaplain Ministry where we see more people saved, than many of the programs within the Church? We have a lot of peer support groups in the Church and need to make sure those who have been released from jails and prisons have a place to feel welcomed. Communication is important and one has to be held accountable and as they are we become encouragers, which is the mark of the Church-LOVE. Just to call once a month is important to see what is going on within ones ministry or life.

Just a quick note to let you all know Ginny and I, have experienced a most enjoyable time, as we traveled back east to attend the Chaplains Conference in Springfield, Missouri. To see 400 plus Chaplains together many of them Military Chaplains was a privilege. God has men and women ordained by God to minister to people that are hurting. The Spirit of the Lord was present in every one of the sessions and I personal was blessed, in knowing again we are labors for the Lord. We are not our own we have been bought with a price, that being the precious blood of the Lamb of God. We are living in a world that is hurting more than anytime in my life, and it is important to know when we are hurting to admit it and call upon the lord. Things can not satisfy the need of a man or women’s desires, only the Lord can fill the vacuum that is in us all. Jesus is the answer to all our needs and it is imperative we understand this early in life. It is not my way, but the Lord way, His truth and Life that satisfies. |

THAT THEY MIGHT BE SAVED! |

That They Might Be Saved Romans 10:1 (KJV) 1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. This is my desire for Israel and will as every one I come in contact with. People need to be saved from there addictions of sin, and the Lord is the answer. What a thought upon the heart of Paul, as he was beginning to see the difference from killing Gods anointed, to now praying for them to be saved. What was an enemy, has become a prayer request. How long can a person fight against the Lords plan for ones life? Israel today seems to not understand what is in store for them, for their eyes are not open to the truth of the Word of God. They are not wanting to accept terrorism, and as they have given away some of their territory in Gaza here earlier to the Palestinian’s, now having them being attacked by the Palestinians has them fighting back. Its just like many times we give way to the desires of Satan and get hurt, then we fight back to get what the enemy stole from us in the first place. Many times this is too late for we have to fight the battle within; rather than just go along with the flow. It seems like the world does not see what is really going on; for the devil has people believing it is Israel’s fault. There are very few backing Israel at this time and I feel Israel is doing what is right, and just, but showing tough love-restraint. Only the free world understands the price that had to be paid to gain liberty, for all. The nations who do not put their trust in the Lord are defiant against what is truthful. This is a fact of life in so many areas, for men hate what many times, what is good for them, and love the evil wicked things life has to offer. |
