Now we come to the creation of Man in Gen 1:26-31 (KJV)

²⁶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. ²⁷ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. ²⁸ And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Provision for food ²⁹ And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. ³⁰ And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.  ³¹ And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Can you see that God didn’t need any help in what He created? God, His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit’s hands are out stretched still today to create within us the truth the way and the life so we are able to be very good, as He created us to be.

God is not finished yet for He has another day which is called the first Sabbath Gen 2:1-3 ¹ Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. ² And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. ³ And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

I am so thankful the Lord knew the potential of mankind, the animal world and everything He created for we all need rest, from the task at hand. Now it is not that the Lord gets tired, that is beyond Him, but he knew His creation needed rest from the cares of life. Who do we rest in, is the question that needs to be answered? Is it God, man or things? Who would you rather become like? Satan, or the Lord of Glory? Everything the Lord created was made to worship God, and when we do not worship the Lord, or reverence the Lord, we lose faith in the Lord and have no thought then of disobeying the Lord.

Let’s look at the creation of mankind a little closer and we see God naming Adam, then Adam names all the animals. What a huge undertaking for all the animals where named in such a way as to describe their character. Adam was seen by God as not having a help mate, so He put man to sleep and His hands reached out still and pre-formed surgery taking out the rib from his side and forming the women. When Adam woke up, he said, She shall be called WHOW MAN! or woman.

Now Adam has a partner, some one to talk with and have a relationship with. Every relationship needs at least two peoplecommunicating between each other, as they have communicated with God. It seems like Adam liked to be around God and Eve liked to be around Adams likeness, someone very nice and pretty. Not a snake in the grass, but someone to talk to, who understood her feelings, desires and wants. Now how much Eve knew about what was expected is a mystery. Here God is establishing rules and purpose for the known world as we know it today, I am sure they both knew the rules and the consequences if they were not obeyed. Death if they ate of the fruit of good and evil, but that had not happened before, so was very difficult to understand. Lord help us to take your word by faith and grow into a relationship that will prevent us from falling and failure.

His Hands Are Outstretched Still

I began to put together a message when we were going through the most difficult time of our lives, when I was accused of abuse as the Director of a Group Home for 6 teenage boys in  Southern CA. I was told by the State Child Care Department I was not abusive just following the rules, but the agency I was working for could do anything they wanted to do and I was terminated and they wanted my wife, Ginny to stay on, which she did for two days and could not continue, because she was working with the person that was the cause for me getting laid off. We both went through a very difficult time and I thank the Lord for the Church we were going to, for they asked me to be the assistant to the pastor the same week I was terminated.

I began to pray and fast shortly after this for forty days with no solids just liquids. The Lord impressed upon me the thought, “His Hands are Out Stretched Still”.

Today as I look at the Church and see what ministers are going through and even our pastor, I am so thankful the hand of the Lord is outstretched still. God always cares, but many times we do not see this for we are doing our thing, and blind to what is really going on. We get caught up in the selfish mold and can only see, I. I am weak and only as I understand this, is the Lord able to use me for His purpose, which is doing what He commands. His will not my will be done!

As I look at the world in which I live in, Yakima; and the surround area, involved with the jails.  I see miracle after miracle, for no one can do what God has done and is doing still today in the lives of men and women as they are bought to their senses and accept they need help. The consequences of sin is still the same, as in the beginning of time.

We need to understand Genesis, to begin to understand the power of the Lord God Almighty. Gen 1:1-2 (KJV)  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. ² And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Man is trying his best, to prove that this world is thousands of years old, and we evolved into being with no designer, it just happen. That is like believing we see what is happening without any real experiences. All we see, just happened, man did not cause, just allows what happens. No responsibility, no accountability, I’m made to act this way, to do what I am doing, don’t tell me we have any order? We are witnessing this kind of thinking every day, as I go into the jails. Did God create this earth we call the world? Or did it just happen because of some kind of chance?
