We Need Our Church CommunityHebrew 10:19-25 was our devotion Wed the 1st of December and I said Honey I am going to develop a Message so we can Hold Fast Our Confession that has been a part of my life being raised in a Christian home, where we even played Church, singing hymens’ and taking an offering and someone preaching. We went to Church Sunday Morning, Sunday night and Wed night and if we had a revival service we attended 2 or three weeks consecutively. We looked forward to Church, for it was a time of feasting upon the thing of the Lord, we wanted more of God. Everyone of us had a relationship with the Lord and shared it where ever we went. We always knew God was with us as we abode with Him. So we never forgot who we were, and when we did sin we asked the Lord to forgive us, and he did. Ellis, Lowell and our Sister Anna Lee where all married and we saw our families grow up with the same type of love for the Lord as we had. It was always great to spent time with my brothers and Sisters family, for God was always giving us showers of blessing. My Dads Family came to the USA in 1050 from England where the Canterbury’s, a Religious group dictated to them. They wanted Freedom and came to the United States. So the Campfield Family has a history of being followers of the Lord. So here we are preaching the Gospel in Harrah and are so thankful, for what the Lord has in store for all of us here in the White Swan School District. Let’s look at Romans 10:19 to 31. 19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness[a] to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Thank the Lord He’s provided all who call upon Him honor and the privilege to follow Him by choice. 1. We can come boldly into the Holy of Holies as we enter His Presence. The Lord gives us a liberty of Spirit to tell the good-news, Jesus saves as we abide in His Spirit! He gives us the assistance needed to prove our acceptance of His Righteousness. 2. He is our High Priest, over the House of the Lord His Church. He presides over His Church militant, as Ambassadors in the Kingdom of God, triumphant in heaven as on earth. We see fallen man can’t dwell with God without a High Priest, for He is our mediator to reconcile us to bear good fruit. We need to enjoy one another by the blood of the Lamb, for He purchased us, to have free asses to Gods glory and grace. It was His blood sprinkled on our conscience chasing away slavish fear, giving us the assurance of Safety in His presence. Verse 20 shows 1. He is the only way truth and life, no other way. 2. It is a new way, no longer law, but now grace. Not of works lest we could boast, it is God’s love, mercy and grace. 3. It is a living way, a living Savior seated on the Right side of God. Here he lived among us, died and after three day rose to be with His Father God. Very much alive interceding for us. 4. He is Christ consecrated to us, through the Temple vail that was ripped from top to bottom, so we may see into Gods glory now. It is so good and precious to know the Lord in such a way, as He is personally by our side, as He promised to be. How does this all happen? By drawing near to God, as we do not want to keep a distance, but be like Enoch who walk with God and God took him. I trust you truly dependent upon the Lord to guide you through this world of confusion and turmoil of Lawlessness, so you do not fall, or even stumble. We need to have a new heart, that is full of assurance without lack of faith, as our faith is in God, who you want to please. This happens when we want our hearts sprinkled with the Blood of the Lamb, so we are pure and holy, sanctified by Gods Holy Spirit living in us as followers. We need that washing of Gods pure water of baptism daily, moment by moment, which is the sanctifying, of the Holy Spirit of God given to us by Jesus who lives in us, keeping us holy and pure. Remember the Priest washed before going into the Temple where God Spirit was. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Holding fast to your faith takes effort on our part. That is embracing the truth of God’s word, so we become more and more like the Lord. Satan is out like a roaring lion and wants to devour Gods Children. We are seeing Churches forgetting the Biblical Principles and preaching words that trickle people’s ears. Apostasy is embracing an opinion that is contrary to what is Biblical, as it is mans opinion. Our faith and hope is in Gods word. People are inclined to worship music and entertainment, rather than God who created us all. What’s our motive and reason for enforcing Gods will and way? Is it the assurance God promised to be with us to guide and protect us. He is truly alive and well in being faithful until we pass away. The 24th verse 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works is so needed today, as we are seeing lawlessness abounding, yet God wants us to encourage one another, to love one another. All lives matter to God, for He created us all for goodwill and peace. The Lord is always on our side and wants to protect us from all evil. Yes when we consider one another, we see we all need help in provoking each to good works and never to anger, which we are seeing today in the Church. Love is our duty as Gods followers, it sets us apart from the world of liking self, to we are always thinking of others? We are not to forsake the Assembling of ourselves in the house of the Lord, for it is Gods will for us to gather as a family, edifying one another. We all fail, but God never fails, as He can’t, or we would all be lost and undone. God wants us to share our concerns and burdens, so we can pray for one another. Then we will have something good to testify about that build’s one another up. We are all going to face death as a follower of the Lord, life is just beginning as we enjoy, what God has in store for us, at the end of this life as a Church. Note verse 24 and 25, God word is exhorting us all to proceed, persevering against apostasy. We are all born in this world of sin, so are sinners needing to be saved from the stress of life. We are seeing more stress to day with Coronavirus, as it is not getting better and now we have another concern Omicron Variant. This is seeing Government wanting to take over what we do and how many can gather together at any one time. We are seeing people forced to respond and act according to mans will and not Gods. This is causing division even with in the Church, rather we should follow the guidelines of Government, or God. We are seeing people reject Gods love, mercy and grace like never before. Salvation is eternal peace now and forever more, as we abide in the vine; Jesus. Note Numbers 15:30-31 30 ‘But the person who does anything [e]presumptuously, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one [f]brings reproach on the Lord, and he shall be [g]cut off from among his people. 31 Because he has despised the word of the Lord, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his [h]guilt shall be upon him.’ This is still true today, for when we are a reproach, we are in a dreadful state of doom, as we have accepted apostasy. That is accepting the lies of media and preachers of sin being ok. You do your thing and I will do mine. I will not bother you and please do not bother me? That is what New Age teaches. There is no more sacrifice, but sinning willfully, no conviction as anything goes. That is certainly what we see with lawlessness, as people do so much injustice to one another. Mob Violence, stealing, destroying public property and peoples right of movement even. Can it get worse? Yes, when we forsake the Lord anything can happen until we come to our senses, we are destroying our lives and the lives of others around us even their life of freedom and justice. Lord help us to see the truth and walk in the light of Gods love. Lets look at verses 26-27 26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” [g]says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Here we see those that trample the Word of God are going to receive worse Punishment, then people in the Old Testament, who where swallowed up by Gods wrath, as the earth open its mouth and swallowed them. Vengeance is mine, God will repay and judge His people, that is all He created for Goodwill and peace. Lord help us to not oppose Your Love, Grace, Mercy and Justice. So, what is the Church? A building that the flesh can come to, too be refreshed by the Spirit of God, that is within each of His created human beings, as Faith the size of a mustard seed grows. Let’s come together and share with one another, our burdens and concerns, so we can be encouraged and be blest by His healings and forgiveness of sin. God want us to be a blessing to our communities as we wait and serve Him with all our bodies, souls and Spirits. We do it best when we are transparent, that is being open to one another so wrongs can be corrected and rights enforced, so we have lawfulness in every area of life; Religion, Government and Economic. Blessing to you as you do not forsake the house of the Lord.I would sure like to know who reads my web page messages please let me know by email jvc4him@msn.com Thanks so much, we love our world and the people in it! |
