Matthew 7
New King James Version Chapter 7 continues and concludes Christ’s sermon on the mount that is practical and direct between God and mankind, to make us better and better in every way, when we follow the rules as is seen in verses 1 to 6. The we see the way we are to encourage one another in 7 to 11. Then we will see the need to be strict and disciplined in our conversation to one another, 12 to 14. Then we are cautioned to heed false prophets 15 to 20. Followed by the conclusion of the whole sermon, being obedient to the Lords commands, so we can be happy and blest. For we are to obey Christ’s doctrines given to all believers, so we are preserved and protected by the blood of the Lamb of God. God wants to save us from Satan’s lies and deceptions.
Do Not Judge
“Judge[a] not, that you be not judged. Here we are seeing Gods grace that is given to us to obeyFor with what [b]judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. How do we treat the faults of others determines our relationship to God? We have judges that minister righteousness of the Lord and it seems like there is a break down in our Judges to day, for many themselves do not want Gods will to be done in justices for all. So, we are seeing lawlessness abound. Then we as Christians feel like we have that right of judging people to make sure justice reigns. This does not work for God needs to be restored in our Judicial System again to have goodwill and peace.
Let’s look at ourselves, we are not the law givers, God is in the judgement seat. It is so easy for use to pronounce Judgement based on our feelings and not the truth of we are all guilty of; sin. It is so easy for the natural man to be uncharitable, unmerciful and want revenge right now. We must see, we can’t see the reasons, for it is Gods prerogative to try the heart, so we can step into His throne calling them hypocrites, reprobates and castaways that is stepping into Gods way. We need to counsel and help in any way we can and not judge him or her.
The more we judge others the more we are going to be judged ourselves by man. Everyone has a stone to throw. It was easy for man to criticize Haggar for having Ishmael for being a wild man with his hand against all men Genesis 16:12. Lord help us to show mercy to others reputation. For we are all going to appear before God and are going to be accountable to Him and Him alone. Lord help us to love others, so we can be forgiven of our wanting to control the situation. God forgives those that are in need of being forgiven, so we can continue to love the unlovely. The merciful will find mercy. It will be evident by our love for Gods will and ways.

 Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge they brother? Or why dost thou set at nought they brother? For we shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ. Lord help us to be modest and charitable in our opinions of others and decline judging them, and judge ourselves, so we are not judged of the Lord. Only God can give us a spirit of humility and charity, so we can be blest by Gods reward, according to our love.
 With what judgement we judge we will be judged according to the law of retaliation. Love does not retaliate, it still loves to see right accomplished in all we do. Then no one is going to be offended, for it is God that convicts us of wrongs committed. It is so easy to see the mote in others and very difficult to see the beam in our own eye. Our own sin ought to appear greater in us than the same sin in others. True repentance and godly sorrow will teach us to call a beam in our own, for the sins of others must be extenuated (forgiveable), but our own aggravated. We are seeing today many having beams in their own eyes and do not consider it at all, or are they aware of what they are doing, but justifying themselves as if they needed no repentance, or reformation, or renewing of the mind. The god of this world has blinded people minds and they can’t see the light of the true.
God created us all for goodwill and peace when we obey His way, truth and life, but today we have thrown the 10 commandments aside and even defunding law and order, so lawlessness is increasing. This is bringing shame upon our land and no one is able to solve our problems of sin, but it is getting more distasteful as time goes by.
We are seeing hypocrites today abounding for people are not ashamed of sin. We are seeing brothers, churches, political parties fighting among themselves and we see no shame.
Luke 4:23 Jesus quotes a common Jewish Phrase of the time saying, you will certainly say to me this proverb, Physician heal yourself. Physicians need to make sure they are healthy to be able to heal others. We need to make sure we are free of sin, so we can help others out of the shame of sin. Grace is given to us by God to repent of our sins, so we can pray for one another to do what is required by Gods law, not our will, or way. We are to administer reproof, warn others of the bridge being out. Or that is unsafe and is killing us of our rights. That is the reason we are to restore with the Spirit of meekness, considering ourselves lest we be tempted.  Gal 6:1
Here is a good rule for reproving, Matthew 7:5 Go in the right method, first cast out the beam in your own eyes. A man’s offence will never be his defense. We are on the offence as we are accepting the way, truth and life and living it and keeping the Gospel alive. The truth will always defend itself as we accept what God is teaching us to do.
We are seeing today many trampling the word of God underfoot and are blaspheming the way, truth and life. We are not here to make people harden and mad at us, by giving them the truth, for it like giving pearls to swine. They will resent it, for the truth is as gold and they do not want the tree of life. But a wise reproof is like excellent oil Psalms 141: 5 Let the righteous strike me; It shall be a kindness.
And let him rebuke me; It shall be as excellent oil;
Let my head not refuse it.
And let him rebuke me; It shall be as excellent oil;
Let my head not refuse it. For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked. and a tree of life Proverbs 3:18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who [a]retain her.
We are seeing such wickedness today they are looked upon as dogs or swine 2 Peter 2:22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: A dog returns to his own vomit, and, a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.
They are vile and walk in the way of sins ugliness. And set in the seat of scornful, hating and despising instruction, and set it at defiance, so they are irrecoverable and irreclaimably wicked, they return to the vomit like a dog and wallowing in the mud like a sow.
Lord help us to see that Prayer is personal and it is our duty to pray so e can become discipline in what we do and say. We are talking to our Father who is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us. God wants to hear our cry of love mercy and grace so we can be empowered to live for Him regardless of what we are going through on earth. God sees and understands what Satan is up to throughout our world. He wants us to call out to Him for help, for we are helpless.
