My Father the Husbandmen Part 2  E-mail
Contributed by Jerral Campfield

Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God.

Jesus could of cast himself down from the highest point of the temple. But He said, “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord Thy God.”

Jesus could of taken all the kingdoms of the world for he already created them.

But he said to Satan, “Get thee hence Satan for it is written thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve”. The Devil leaves and angels come and minister to Jesus. Matthew 4:1-11.

See the reasons Jesus did not sin? He allowed God to be the Husbandmen in control. He followed the Lord God, for it is God that is in control even of the Son. Only He knows when the world is going to come to an end and be destroyed. Only He knows when the Church is going to be called home at the resurrection of the Bride.

We all have the capacity to sin for we were cursed. Note Genesis 3:22-24. We were separated from God because of sin and put out of paradise. No one is born perfect we are born sinners, we have to be taught to do right. We need the Lord and it does not just happen. Right comes as I have faith in God. God is not a respecter of persons, he came to give us all life abundantly.

We all get what we want, rather good or bad. I want to abide in the Lord, and we need to look to the Lamb of God. We need the Lord! HELP!

God wants to rule us, not dictate or force in anyway, “Come unto me” is His words of comfort. Does our God reign? The Farmer rules his crops. We only produce Fruit when we abide in Him! That is obeying His Word. That is becoming like Christ and putting on the robe of Righteousness, the Lord gives to us as believers.

His Government is not only Personal it’s Teleological-exhibitin, or relating to design, or purpose in nature and in all of life. That’s our argument for God’s existence is what Webster says, “It’s what gives order”! God designed me for God’s good, His purpose, in order that He would be multiplied in me. As I allow Him to reign in my life in all areas.

Remember, He said to multiply the earth. He wants and has perfection in nature, and wants it in man as well, if we will accept His leading and abide in the vine.

Man in the beginning lived over 900 years, now we have an average age of 64, because of our conservation and health practices. It is not because of what God has done, but because we reap what we sow as mankind. God say’s I want you to be able to enjoy 70 years as man. Is it happening through out the world? No! We as man mess up Gods plans.

Trees die and new ones spring up from them. Animals die, they don’t change character. Plants die, they don’t become something else, man is dead in trespasses and sin.  God Ordained in the Old Testament LAW and in the New Testament Grace. So Gods Government is personal. He has a Divine Theocracy type of government, GOD is in CONTROL. He designed my purpose and its government is exercised upon Christ, as the center of the World, and upon His disciples as organs, which relies upon the destiny of the vinedresser, as He cuts off the useless, which is so easily growing all the time.

That is why the fire of judgment and purifying is burning away that which we don’t need constantly. Do we want and like the consequences of sin? Yes, the natural man does! It is very pleasures at the time, but when it is all over and we’ve taken the last drink, we’re not able to drive home, and if we do drive home drunk, we get in an accident and maybe kill someone. Fun right? No! not at all, but we continue in our addiction until we take a true look at the picture we are painting for ourselves and see the consequences of our sin.

Put Christ in the center of all temptations, problems and afflictions and see what happens. Things will fall off, so we can bear more fruit that will bless others, not curse those around me.

Illustration-As a boy we used to work for a farmer that raised certified seed corn and we would go and cut the shoots that grew up from the corn stock to make sure there was only one stock. We made sure all the garbage was cut down so the original stock would grow healthy and produce more ears of corn.

We were taught how to prune apple trees, by cutting away all the branches which weren’t needed. You wanted the fruit to get as much sunlight as possible and the tree to grow will, and produce healthy fruit. We also were taught how to thin apple trees, in order that the trees would not have to carry to much wood, causing fruit being small. It allowed again the fruit that was left to grow to the best it could possibly be. It looks bad seeing all the branches on the ground, and all the fruit on the ground. You would say, if you did not know what was going on, what a waste. But it take getting rid of what is not needed, in order to produce what is best for the tree, the corn plant, even we as human beings, need to be thinned and pruned by the Gentleman Farmer, if we are going to reach our potential God has for us.

This is very hard to accept until you understand the law of the harvest, which is the end result? For the farmer it is tons of fruit, or pounds of cherries, bushels of wheat, pounds of mint, but one can’t forget quality is more important than quantity. The farmer receives more profit as he cares for his crop, just as we care for the life God has given to us. Let’s trust the Lord putting our Faith in God, allowing him to mold us into His perfect image. The Lord prunes us, thins us, and cuts out the suckers that drain the life right out of us. Does God want us to be suckers?  He wants the best for us, and it comes as we abide in the vine allowing the Lord to solve our problems.  I am convinced we are working to hard to be what God wants us to be, all we need to do is put our hands in His and let Him guide us into the Truth, the Way and the Life.  Behind every problem is a miracle about to happen, as we put our faith in the Lord.

When Christ is the center of all, the works of the flesh will be realized as problems still existing, needing to be trimmed, pruned, and burned up. I trust we understand the Power of God to burn away all that which is not necessary in our lives. We are all flesh and bone, that does not have to be taught to sin, we need to be taught how then shall we live? I need to abide in the Lord for I need His HELP!

Now the works of the flesh are manifested and shown to us by the Gentleman Farmer as we read his Word. Galatians 5:19-21.

1.    Adultery-married men and women having out of marriage relationships.

2.    Fornication-Unmarried men or women having sex with married men and women.

3.    Uncleanness-anything goes all is OK, no holds barred.

4.    Lasciviousness-Unbridled lust men with men, women with

women, producing lust inhumane even with animals and use of

      object for sexual pleasure.

5.    Idolatry-Worship everything but God. Money, jobs, self,

      things, pleasure, education and popularity.

6.    Witchcraft-intercourse with the devil or with a familiar spirit, an irresistible influence or

fascination and enchantment, like with fantasy games, dungeons and dragons.

7.    Hatred-opposite of love.

8.    Variance-not in harmony, contrary to all that is right and

      moral.

9.    Emulation-wanting to equal or excel. I’m better than you are mentality.

10.   Wrath-violent anger: Rage.

11.   Strife-bitter, sometimes violent conflict or dissension,

fight, struggle, exertion or contention to gain superiority.

12.   Sedition-going against the law, doing your thing.

13.   Heresies-no regard for the Word.

14.   Envying-wanting more of what someone else has.

15.   Murders-taking some ones life.

16.   Drunkenness.

17.   Reveling-Roister, trouble makers.

Are not these problems we still have today? That is why we need to know God as our Husbandmen (Gentleman Farmer). He has allowed these things to show you and I, the importance of His Son who came and died on the cross that we might have eternal life more abundantly. Let’s let, Jesus speak to us, and show us what we lack and what we don’t need, so we can bear the fruits of the Spirit in our lives, as we abide in Him.

Lord take me just as I am and let me see the blood that was spilled for me washing away my sin, making me in the image of God as I abide in the Vine.
