The Joy of those who Trust in the Lord 1 Peter 1:1-8
New King James Version
Greeting to the Elect Pilgrims
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To the [a]pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
A Heavenly Inheritance
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance [b]incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been [c]grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not [d]seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
The Proof of our faith is believing in God as a fact, for then, our sins are forgiven and we are born again, as we enjoy Salvation with the joy of the Lord. So, I have always had the Joy of the Lord since a teen ager, as people have asked me many times why are you so Happy and I say, because I have a relationship with the Lord.
I began to work for farmers in our area and learned how to put harnesses on horses, to ditch and plow as a teenager. Our Father was a Farmer While we grew up, He also worked in the ship Yards in Bremerton, WA and Portland, Oregon along with his Brother Archie.

Working for neighbors on their farms was always doing something new. The most interesting was tasseling male seed corn, as there where 6 rows of female and then two rows of male, which had Tassesl that needed to be pulled off, so they were able to fall on the female to produce more corn. Then we had to trim the suckers that wanted to grow, with knives.  One time I was ready to put my self down on one knee, when I saw this Rattle Snake, I chopped in to pieces to kill him before curling up to strike me. Then I also worked for a Dairy man and had to spray weeds and mow the crass on the farm. Also ran a threshing Machine for Wheat and Barley that was run by a John Deere G tractor, the biggest at that time.
I was in the first grade at Wapato for 3 Months and then our parents moved to the Harrah area, so we went to White Swan Grade School in White Swan for 12 Years. I had to take the 1st grade over again. It seems like I was very popular with my Classes and when a Freshman I was elected as the class President, then Sophomore Vice President, Junior President and Senior Vice Present.
I was chosen for Three Years as Further Famers of America Treasure with over $45,000.00 dollars in Bank Account. I filled our report why I should win a dollar amount to buy a Steer as a Freshman from Sears as a freshmen and got the money to pay for a Steer to show at the Toppenish livestock Sales as a member of the FFA.
As a Freshman I along with Joan Parker, Peggy Bales, Don Kearby &  Pat Fergerson, started a Youth for Christ Club at White Swan High School in 1952 which was a blessing to many of the youth. I turn out for Football my Freshman year to Senior years. As a Junior I was on the bench one time and looked behind me and saw this Cheer Leader and she smiled, so latter I saw her again at the water fountain and ask her if she would like to go the Billy Graham Movie Mr, Texas about an oil fire fighter. She, said yes with a smile. I found out while we dated for the first time, She was a Catholic as her parents raised her in a Catholic Church in White Swan. We married October 12 1957.
After Graduation I went one year to Northwest Bible College in Seattle helping start a Church in Queen Ann Hill and West Bellevue.  I traveled with Ward Tannaburg and his wife as they ministered. I played a solo on the Trombone at many of his services. I was asked by our Superintendent to Play at the Christ Ambassador meeting in Sunnyside, WA when Rolland Carlson, my friend, ask my girlfriend Virginia Meshke if she would like to accept Christ, as I was already doing, and she said Yes. She went forward and gave her life to the Lord and was born again. She was a Freshman, as Harrah students either went to Wapato High School or White Swan according to the district they lived in and I meet her as a freshman and I was a Junior. After graduation I was going to be a Navy Person, so was at the recuiters office to enlist and Cas Heilman, who asked me to go talk to Morris Hitchcock and see if I could take His Job at White Swan Lumber, as Yard care taker, trimming  shrubbery and mowing lawns around the Home and Airport landing strip which I did and got the job and after two months, they asked me to go to Santa Barbara, California to care for the Polo Horses from October 1956 to April 1957. This was a time I will never forget as I attended the Santa Barbara Assembly of God and meet some very nice youth, where one was playing in the Santa Barbara Jr College band and said, I should see if I could be a part of the Band as a quest and the director gave me the right to play with them, want a thrill. To Be Continued!
