Achieving your Potential

Everyone I have ever meet has a Potential and many times they do not have any Idea what that is, for only God can take nothing and make something out of it. That is I can't, but God can accomplish His will if we stay connected to the Vine Jesus!! Here is a lesson I gave to those in prison and jails in WA and California so they cam realize the Power of God and How we need Help to become more and more like our creator! ACHIEVING YOUR POTENTIAL I. Comfort Zone- That area which corresponds with your current self-image in any area of your life. The higher the self-esteem the broader the comfort zone. Move out of it and we experience tension, anxiety, breathing becomes difficult, muscles in neck tightens, we secrete extra digestive juices causing ulcers. The result: Decreased effectiveness and poor performance. A.Building your own self-esteem in two ways. 1. Self talk-I CAN’T He CAN Present your self to the Lord. Romans 12:1-2. I beseech^[^a^] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your ^[^b^]reasonable service. ²And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 2. I am going to let God have His way, truth and life to achieve my Potential. B. Is it what you think, or what God thinks is important? C. Imagination times vividness equals reality on the subconscious level. 1. Humanism says the subconscious doesn’t know the difference between actual experiences and one vividly imagined. D.Notice worldly, carnal people’s custom and sinful ways. In committing popular sins. Exodus 23:2, Thy gather a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice. 33.³They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.” Romans 1:21-32. ²¹because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. ²²Professing to be wise, they became fools, ²³and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like ^[^h^]corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. ²⁴Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, ²⁵who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. ²⁶For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their ^[i]women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. ²⁷Likewise also the ^[^j^]men, leaving the natural use of the ^[^k^]woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. ²⁸And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; ²⁹being filled with all unrighteousness, ^[^l^]sexual immorality, wickedness, ^[^m^]covetousness, ^[ⁿ^]maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, ³⁰backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, ³¹^[^o^]undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, ^[^p^]unforgiving, unmerciful; ³²who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. 3. In false worship. Deuteronomy 12:29-32; Beware of False Gods ²⁹“When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, ³⁰take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ ³¹You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every ^[^a^]abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. ³²“Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it. Then in Acts 17:22-31. We see people worshipping who ever they want; Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: ²⁴God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. ²⁵Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. ²⁶And He has made from one ^[^j^]blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, ²⁷so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; ²⁸for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ ²⁹Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. ³⁰Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, ³¹because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.
