This week as been another week of crisis in the region of the hurricane, it seems every one is blaming every one. People in office are stepping down and we need people to step up to the plate, accepting responsibility for what is going on, if we are going to be a blessing to others. Who is in control? Is being  asked by our Senate and house and we need to see the power within ourselves, as we accept the Lords will for our lives..

Are you beginning to see our blessing as we abide in the vine? Verse 9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

I never thought we would see another hurricane reaching a level 5 so soon, as Rita is bearing down on the Texas Coast and surrounding areas. It seems we never learn how powerful nature is, for many still do not want to flea the area; rather going to ride it out.

It is a pleasure for me at this time to be attending the Critical Incident Stress Management Pastoral Crisis Intervention conducted by Washington CISM Network in Yakima, WA. Our instructor is Dr. Tim Klerekoper the Executive Director of Charteris Foundation, a private non-profit charitable organization providing chaplaincy services throughout the Pacific Northwest. He personally serves as Head Chaplain for Federal Way Fire Department and Des Moines Police Department where he hold the rank of Major. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Whitworth College, a Diploma in Christian studies from Regent College, and a Master of Arts and Doctors of Ministry degree from Faith Lutheran Seminary.

He does marriage and family counseling, and is an instructor for the California P.O.S.T training program and lectures nationally and internationally for the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and the International Conference of police Chaplains, and is an Adjunct Seminary Professor, teaching Crisis Intervention Counseling, Grief and Bereavement and Stress related classes both in the United States and overseas.

He is married to his wife Jan for 27 years and has two boys, he is Ordained as an Anglican Priest and lives in Federal Way Washington.I feel very blessed to be under his teaching and am inspired to continue to do all I can to lift   those hurting by bringing them the truth in love, kindness in understanding them, gentleness in confirming them, and understanding in walking with them in their stresses.

What we are learning in Crisis Management goes with what I have centered my Web Site on to those released from jail, or the prison of sin. As we continue in our study of Ephesians we see Paul facing reality of who we are in Christ. So let’s note Ephesians 1:8

Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence.”

Blessing Part 6

Tonight we head President Bush speaking to the American people concerning Hurricane Katrina, letting us know he felt compassion for those suffering from death of loved ones, destruction of homes and everything one processed. But now is the time to build, yes, we will look into the total reason for the inaction of government. We need to make sure this is not going to happen again. We know we are in an area where nature can totally devastate an area, but we have got to have better building codes. We can’t let what happened, happen again. He accepted blame as our President for our slowness to respond.

I was pleased at the amount of times he referred to God and how he appreciated the Churches of the area. To see people rally around helping regardless of race, color, or creed was truly the American Spirit.

We are a nation founded upon Christian principle, not a dictator government, but a government by the people for the people. I feel like we are beginning to see the woes coming upon us as a nation and we need make sure our trust is in the Lord and experience the blessedness of the Lord. We are saved by grace and grace is not without the knowledge of sin. So lets look at Ephesians 1: 7  which gives us a better reason we need the conviction of sin for it says, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
