Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Thank the Lord for Church Boards that are serving and surveying the area in which they are located, that all the needs are addressed. Here the Twelve Disciple now organize the Church by calling all together to hear the story of what is going on, this is seeking counsel from one another that all will be safe, under the leadership of the Church. They saw the greatest need as preaching the Gospel, for it is the good news that brings people to the Church, that the church might have the greatest degree of accountability. It was Jesus Himself that walked into the Temple and found them selling and exchanging money and over throwing the tables. Lord help us to see the value of the temple of God, that you and I are a-part of, so our image is not forsaken, but accepted as needed! The Disciples where given a message to be preached for that time. They did not have to study, for remember the Church was beginning from Peter the Rock. Who just stumbled and fell and asked for forgiveness, as he wept bitterly over what he had done, in rejecting the Lord at the Trial of Jesus. It is not the money that preachers are called to, it is the story that God loves you and created you to love Him, so you can be fulfilled in what you’re doing to honor and praise Him. Lord help us to not entangle ourselves in the affairs of this life and it’s outward look2 Timothy 2:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Here they are all together in one accord and are concern with what is happening in the business of the Church that God is setting up. So here they are full of the Holy Spirit seeking 7 men of a good report. Lord help us to review and pray and keep our accounts in order, so we know where we are at any given moment. The Billy Graham was the first organization to open their books to the Public, to erase all doubt where the money was spent and today Samaritans Purse does more than many Government’s to minister to emergency areas in our world. Lord help us when choosing people, to serve on our boards, to look for men that have the opinion of the Lord in seeing the Church grow in all areas. People of honesty, free from scandal, who see others as neighbors, men of integrity and full of faithfulness, will proven and tested for truthfulness and will spoken of, virtuous and praise worthy. Then full of the Holy Spirit, in order to see imagination times vividness as reality that is truth. Honest men of courage, for they are in charge of the affairs of the Church, hating covetousness, but needing more of the presence of the Lord, so wisdom is present with the ability to be discreet and judicious to be able show justice to all. 1 Corinthians 12:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit.

In chapter 6 we are going to see the discontent among the Disciples about the distribution of the public charity; the election and ordination. Of seven men to ease the apostles of the burden they carried. The increase of the Church and a look at the account of Stephen one of the seven and his activity for Christ and how he dealt with the enemies of Christianity. The crimes laid against him and how he accepted his trial.
Acts 6 New King James Version (NKJV)
Seven Chosen to Serve
Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists,[a] because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. It is amazing how unhappy people can get about what is going on with in Churches, with the way they deal with money the bigger they get. Having been a part of this Church at the Harrah Assembly of God since 1936 when it was started our parents Ellis and Gladies Campfield were the orginal charter members and saw good solid growth. Dad was on the Board when the Church had to move from the Brownstown location between Evans and Progressive on Barks Road, where David and Margret Scott now live. This was not an easy move for many wanted to stay put and not go into Harrah back in 1955 when Rev Corneas Rentjies was Pastor with over 150 people present. I was  a graduate of White Swan High School were we started a Campus Life Youth for Christ group as a freshman and was the leader several years plus worked in the Church helping mom as Secretary of the Sunday School in Brownstown, helping collect the record books for attendance and the giving of offering at times with other youth. We had a youth group of over 30 kids. Never once did mom or dad talk about who gave and how much for it was kept in confidence. Then when I became Secretary Treasure of the Board after getting married to Virginia in 1957 never once did I let others know how much money was given. I remember never having abundance of Money and many times our Pastors had to wait to get a pay check. But it was always paid with many times more came in as love offering. I never heard any of our minister complain about how much money they made, but rejoiced in being able to minister to the people who attended. The most I can remember attending the Church was when Dean and Joann Rimemers was here who just Graduated from North West Bible Collage in 1559 as our Pastor preaching on Nehemiah building the walls around Jerusalem, seeing the church grow from 150 to over 200 in attendance. He started a local news paper every week to hand out to the community with the community helping pay for its printing, which gave our Church a strong testimony. This was a time of rejoicing, but also a time when our Church was shaken by the enemy. So as a Church we know what it is like to be shaken and come through as people put their hope, faith, to reverencing and worshiping the Lord, with a renewed effort in praying for one another. This was certainly not the first time this Church went through battles with Satan, for we began out of a revival in Wapato Assembly of God under Brother Waters Ministry, when the taverns were all closed down in Wapato. For the simple reason people where coming to the Church to get saved and full of the Holy Spirit, so no one was interested in drinking but drinking from the fountain that never ran dry. So Brother Johnny Manchester was asked to come out to Brownstown and start a Church and I remember being saved at a Revival Service when a Evangelist Robertson was the preacher and many were saved and fulfilled with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues. This was a time when High School Students would come to Church and look in the windows to see what was happening as people were slain in the Spirit without a catcher. They said I was praying up on the stage next to a piano when it moved, so when I was stricken by the Spirit the Piano moved from the wall, so I did not hit the piano but landed softly down on the floor. So I had no problem with Acts two when the Holy Spirit over came those gathered in the upper room. We are not in control when God is in control, for He is and can keep one from getting hurt. Now we have people near by that are taught to help those falling under the power of the Holy Spirit and we question is it real. I wonder what we would think if a cloud leads us by day and a fire by night? Lord help us to remember, You do all thing decently and in order, so no one gets hurt. Remember in the fifth Chapter we saw how God took care of Annan’s and Sapphire and can certainly take care of us. It is a wonder to see the Church growing and It is our prayer that we will multiply in numbers to get peoples attention God is alive and real. I am convinced that God lead us hear and God has a purpose for all of us, as we are united in bring glory and honor to the Lord for what He is doing in our hearts.

35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, [h]take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. It is amazing how many times people have to be held accountable for what they do and say even today. You need to govern yourselves, be in charge and not let your anger get in the way. Sounds like good advice for all even today. Anger is our biggest weapon against sin and yet can destroy relationship and break up families and Churches. So to be angry and sin not is possible as we let God deal with our behavior and attitude in all areas of life.  Look at how many people are angry and become full of bitterness around the world and notice how they life with degradation and shame to where they can be careful in any way, and are filthy in character and appearance of property and things they own. They fall into the pit which they dig. Let’s be aware of what bothers us so we do not get imbittered and do what we don’t like. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, [i]joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. Theudas a man that boasted himself as a great one; a teacher, or prince with a divine commission to bring revolution to the Church or the world to where four hundred joined to Him but he was slain and those who followed where scattered and became nothing? You’re going to be just like him for your going to smite the shepherd and the sheep are going to be scattered. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. Notice another Judas of Galilee one involved with taxes and drew away people who gave credit to his work, but everyone was not fooled by his behavior and they and the attitude perished. Many today are following people foolishly and throw away their lives by being jealous of others liberty to do what they want. We are never able to do what we wants but what does God want for us, not my will but God will is what bring security of abiding in the vine; Jesus. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; Refrain do not punish or persecute but stay away from getting upset and let the future take care of them. Let them go, to do their thing without putting a hand on them for if this plan or work they are involved with will dissolve on it own. It is amazing how many times God intervenes on our behalf by using men or women.  39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.” But if it is of God is a statement that needs to be seen in our Churches to give us the ability to trust Him and obey. For God is the one who sets the standards for living in the spirit. We are simply His and He can take a nobody and make him or her a somebody, as we grow in the vine. This is giving the Church hope in beginning its message for the way, truth and life that is going to last forever, God created the law and as our school master for Grace. God’s love is never going to pass away and become naught. He is going to take care of the enemy in His time.
