This week as been another week of crisis in the region of the hurricane, it seems every one is blaming every one. People in office are stepping down and we need people to step up to the plate, accepting responsibility for what is going on, if we are going to be a blessing to others. Who is in control? Is being asked by our Senate and house and we need to see the power within ourselves, as we accept the Lords will for our lives.. Are you beginning to see our blessing as we abide in the vine? Verse 9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: God loves the World, but do we love the Lord? God wants all mankind to experience His grace, mercy and peace but are we seeing blessing or witnessing cruelty, hate and terror? Can’t we just get along! Is the term Rodney King used as he was tried in LA for abusing the police officers. Isn’t it a mystery to see more war than peace? More hate than love, and understanding? Is it Gods will for us to go to war with one another? Are we not taught to love one another, even our enemies? J. Vernon McGee’s Thru The Bible says: The greater mysteries are: (1) the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven (Mat. 13:3-50); (2) the mystery of Israel’s blindness during this age (Rom. 11:25, with context); (3) the mystery of the translation of living saints at the end of this age (1Cor. 15:51-52; 1Thess. 4:13-17); (4) the mystery of the N.T. Church as one body composed of Jews and Gentiles (Eph. 3:1-12; Rom. 16:25; Eph. 6:19; Col. 4:3); (5) the mystery of the Church as the bride of Christ (Eph. 5:23-32); (6) the mystery of the in-living Christ (Gal. 2:20; Col. 1:26-27); (7) the “mystery of God even Christ,” i.e., Christ as the incarnate fullness of the Godhead embodied, in whom all the divine wisdom for man subsists (1Cor. 2:7; Col. 2:2, 9); (8) the mystery of the processes by which godlikeness is restored to man (1Tim. 3:16); (9) the mystery of iniquity (2Thess. 2:7; cp. Mt. 13:33); (10) the mystery of the seven stars (Rev. 1:20); and (11) the mystery of Babylon (Rev. 17:5, 7). So one begins to see that God has not revealed everything to us now and that becomes a mystery to many. This is the reason the Scriptures are of no private interruption, but we need to study it in the context of the whole, not just part. We are living in a time today when we would rather hear a lie, than the truth. The media has a great impact on what we understand as truth, for many times they want you to have the same opinion as they do. So it is not leaving it up to you to decide, but the must give you an analyzes of what your seeing. For instants, we can’t see anymore Iraq as a place where they were controlled by dictators wanting to be free. We see it as the United States going where they are not needed according to the press. So it has become a war that is futile and we need to pull out, many are saying. The question to ask is, what do we want as mankind and it seems to be a mystery, no one really is willing to accept reality. Do we want to be controlled by terrorism, or love? Do we want Gods good pleasure to rule and reign, or are we wanting to please ourselves? God created us with the power to make choices and it seems like we are bent on making wrong choices. The heart of man is desperately wicked, so man is out to prove they are right and God is wrong. He came to give us peace, that is love in action, but we are bent on warring against what is right and doing what is wrong. Wrong has become right and right has become wrong in my life time. The Church is as much responsible for our climate in society, for they where the ones established by God to teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father , and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. Isn’t that the love of the Lord? Today we have more religions and less Christ likeness and we need to understand the mystery of Gods love. God through His Son, and the Holy Spirit can take a nobody, and make him somebody, which has worth. This is a mystery that is only understood as we accept His mercy and Grace in our lives. Our Father God, Jesus His Son and the Holy Spirit did not need any help in giving mankind all they needed. Can you see the power of three in one, or is it a mystery to you? Was there anything to hard for the Lord in the past, now, our in the future? No! We can’t begin to imagine what he can do right now, or in the future as we just learn to trust Him. Salvation is not free, for that would cheapen the Gospel, Jesus died as the Son of God to give us blessings after blessings regardless of who we are, were we are, or how much money we have. What did the Lord tell His disciples? Was it not, follow me! Isn’t that work? Or do you just find it easy, and go through life aimlessly with no discipline, just doing your thing. We hear God loves us unconditionally and what does that do to the Church? Everyone I’ve ever meet seems to like those who love them, but how about those who do not love you? It is impossible to love your enemies with out Gods love abiding in us. That is a mystery of mysteries. Love is based upon principles laid out for us in 1 Corinthians 13, I see this as performance at the greatest degree. Love is not cheap it requires lots of labor, it just doesn’t happen. Are we seeing vividly what the Lord wants us to see, hear, taste, feel and even smell? Or are we imagining what does not exist. I hope your imagination times vividness equals reality, that is based upon the Truth of Gods Word not your emotions but faith in Gods Word. That is why Chuch Swindell says, “its not just grace, grace, but obedience, obedience. That is how to work out your salvation with fear and trembling or we suffer the consequences. Is that law? No it is God Grace, His Mercy extended to us as we accept His Word and following Him. Then we experience the blessing in the day we are living in, even in the dispensation of the fullness of time. |
