Pentecost was given by God to empower us to be victories In many different ways but I would like to take the 7 Different ways our Son refereed to last Sunday.
I do not ever remember anything in the past that is like we have seen the last 107 Days with Coronavirus and with Rioting the last two weeks over the killing of George Floyd by Police officers who were brutal, with no compassion. Causing so many to want to take law into the own hands with destroying property and breaking into business and steal whatever they wanted as no one stopped their behavior. We saw our imagination running wild with the vivid picture of brutality never seen before on such a wide picture of our United States burning up. We saw the President Donald Trump hold up a Bible in front of the Church in Washington DC and wanting people to know the Bible is what we need to accept today in America. Yes you have your own opinions, but is it not true we need to see people as being in the Army of the Lord. We used to sing a song called Onward Christian Soldiers written by Baring-Gould a gifted preacher-literary man of the nineteenth century. He was an ordained Anglican minister and a noted writer. Eighty-five of his books were published of various genre. The British Museum has more of his titles than any other. However Sabine is best remembered for this hymn written in 1865.
Baring-Gould left an account regarding the writing of this hymn:
“It was written in a very simple fashion, without the thought of publication. Whitmonday is a great day for school festivals in Yorkshire, and one Whitmonday it was arranged that our school join forces with that of a neighboring village. I wanted the children to sing when marching from one village to another, but couldn’t think of anything quite suitable, so I sat up at night resolved to write something myself. ‘Onward Christian Soldiers’ was the result. It was written in great haste. ”

1

Onward Christian soldiers!
  Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
  Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master,
  Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
  See, His banners go!

Onward, Christian soldiers!
  Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus,
    Going on before.

2

At the name of Jesus
  Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers,
  On to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver
  At the shout of praise:
Brothers, lift your voices,
  Loud your anthems raise!

3

Like a mighty army
  Moves the Church of God:
Brothers, we are treading
  Where the saints have trod;
We are not divided,
  All one Body we—
One in faith and Spirit,
  One eternally.

4

Crowns and thrones may perish,
  Kingdoms rise and wane;
But the Church of Jesus
  Constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never
  ’Gainst the Church prevail;
We have Christ’s own promise,
  Which can never fail.

5

Onward, then, ye people!
  Join our happy throng;
Blend with ours your voices
  In the triumph song.
Glory, laud and honor
  Unto Christ, the King;
This through countless ages
  Men and angels sing.

God was certainly not defeated but after He was resurrected appeared for 40 days that is enough to make people assured He was truly divine and awesome, wanting all to know He was not finished yet with His love mercy and grace, so gave us all the Holy Spirit; His Spirit to live and have it’s being in us to purify us in the blood of Calvary. So let look at what the Holy Spirit Produces in us
1. To produce Supernatural occurrences.
2. To produce bewilderment and curiosity.
3. To produce Boldness.
4. To Produce Opportunities of Hope.
5. Produce a Revolution.
6. To produce an active Community for Christ.
We are in a totally uncivilized world where people are destroying what other have made and killing people that are trained to protect us. Lawlessness has abounded around the world this last week and only God can allow people to see the damage they have caused, as many times we see people of the same race killing one another. Here after 50 days of the Lord death on the cross He was showing the power of unity as many were celebrating the giving of the law and now grace is being seen for the first time as Jesus promised with the sign of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2
New King James Coming of the Holy Spirit Producing unity of Power
2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all [a]with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them [b]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Here they are in one according seeing the Lord favor as a sound from Heaven, as a rushing might wind filled the house, while divided tongues fell on them with fire and tongues.
The Crowd’s Response
5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6 And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each in our own [c]language in which we were born? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and [d]Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”

13 Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.”
In Peter’s Sermon Can you see the reason for questioning what was going on, people speaking languages they had not spoken and those who spoke the language were very concerned of How can this happen; people never learned can speak. Look how God gave us our tongues and when God controls our tongues we are going to speak good will and peace. They acted like people who where drunk and stuttered or slurred their words, but they were not drunk, but under the influence of Gods Holy Spirit.  God takes the Natural and make it supernatural. This is hard to understand unless you have experienced God supernatural experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit. God is neve going to hurt any of His children, but wants us to be able to speak in His language and we are seeing it in areas of our world where people are persecuted by death like in India, Russia, China, South America cities that are going through infestation of Locus and other insects that are destroy vegetations and life. Now we are going to see Peter dispel this bewilderment and curiosity. Look at the rioting and what people are going through with Coronavirus and the bewilderment it is causing and curiosity of how much longer is this going to take place. People need help and who do we turn to is the question
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only [e]the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’
22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know— 23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you [f]have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; 24 whom God raised up, having [g]loosed the [h]pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it. 25 For David says concerning Him:
‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face,
For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad;
Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.
27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’
29 “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, [i]according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, 31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. 33 Therefore being exalted [j]to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.
34 “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:
‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’
36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” God wants to produce boldness in everyone of us so we can stand for His promises and not let the affairs of this world destroy what is good. Look at how the Church is now limited as if we were the problem when the Church has always been the solution for diseases and sickness all down through history. Look at the History of the Old Testament people that trust the Lord and listen to what God had to say, in saving the Israelites from slavery. How Noah obeyed and constructed a Boat where there was never rain, and he did it to save people but guess what only his wife and family of 8 got in! Talk about boldness. Noah heard from God. Are we hearing from Gods Spirit today, as we are seeing God wants to fill us up with His Spirit so we can bear fruit for the glory of the Lord? 37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [k]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
A Vital Church Grows all because of God providing Hope in a hopeless situation. God is always in tune of what is going on and we need to trust Him and Obey, for there is no other way. Now we are going to see God wants to start a revolution to where we are going to prove to the World who God is.
40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this [l]perverse generation.” 41 Then those who [m]gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ [n]doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and [o]sold their possessions and goods, and divided[p] them among all, as anyone had need.
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added [q]to the church daily those who were being saved.
The Lord is allowing a revolution to take place and we do not know who is going to win the rioters, or those seeking peace. Thank the Lord as a Church we are going to keep on trusting the Lord that we can be renewed in our commitment to the Lord forever regardless of the opposition of the forces of evil. Thank the Lord we do not need to fear by have faith in God as we worship and reverence Him that our prayers of goodwill can be done to give us peace.
