Imprisoned Apostles Freed It seem that every successful work meets with opposition for people do not like goodwill and peace. We are now seeing the malice of hell struggling with the messenger of God.
17 Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with [a]indignation, 18 and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison. Here it is the Priest that are enraged and put they are put in prison for they do not want to be threaten by any outside power. We are seeing the same thing today around the world where Governments do not appreciate the Church in many areas. It is still the Sadducees who do not want to accept Jesus rose from the grave to empower His followers and this made the leader disdain Christian works. They became indignant, that is angry, that caused them to be out of control. They did not like the miracle of seeing someone heal the sick, so they are cured. Envy has a way of fooling anyone, for it does not see the truth of how much was given that we might enjoy life.  So, they laid hands on them and put them in prison, so they were helpless in doing what was good and proper. Notice this was at the beginning of Grace that was given by God for the Church and now the witness was put in prison, isolation. What a disgraceful position they find themselves in. Satan knows how to embarase and get us to feel like we are no bodies, for that is his job and he certainly does not lack in taking away what is right to take Control of our lives.

19 But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, Here, we see God uses Angels at His bedding to reach his hands out stretched to Peter and John. 20 Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.” God never forsakes His own, they are discharged to continue on in spite of being imprisoned by man during the night. No trial, but sentenced by priest, leaders of the Government. But God continued to empower them to speak. There is no prison so strong that they can control the wishes of people, for God is still ministering in our jails and prisons of the world. God gives people in chains of addiction the power to say no to the lust of evil. Today we have more evil desires that ever before as Satan knows his time is about over. Look at vaping and how fast it took hold. Look at homelessness and how fast it took over our streets in our big cities, Notice, how many famous people are being caught in sexual activities, both men and women. Thank the Lord for Brother Kenneth Cain who took me to the Wapato and Toppenish jail as a teenager, where they had drunk tanks where they put everyone in that was high on alcohol together, for it taught me God can minister to those locked up in jails and prisons when they hear God loves them and can forgive and give them a new desire to please the Lord. Then latter in 1998 becoming a Chaplain for the LA Sheriff’s Department and when we moved to Yakima working as a Chaplain under the leadership of the Assembly of God chaplaincy Department at the Yakima County Sheriff’s Department, teaching mandatory classes for 150 men and 35 women for 2 ½ years without using God name, or praying in front of them, but teaching how to achiever their potential. When an inmate said, "I was preaching", the Department said, I would have to stop mandatory class and make in voluntary. This was a disappointment to the Men and Women, but we continued on, for which we thank the Lord for all who accepted the Lord. So, to see God intervene here is a miracle that only God can perform.
21 And when they heard that, they entered the temple early in the morning and taught. But the high priest and those with him came and called the [b]council together, with all the [c]elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought. Notice Peter and John knew something the Priest did not know; God is in control, and they continued to preach the Good News, Jesus saves and heals and delivers us in as the Temple of God dwelling (THE CHURCH). There is no building like the Church, to speak for the good news as people of like precious faith meeting together to hear the truth of Gods word and being encouraged to live for the Lords will; is there anything more important than that?  Lord help us to be bold and resolutely stand and speak of the way, truth and life so people can be set free of the bondages of sins addictions. The Gospel is the words of life, God gives and puts a song in our hearts of knowing we are saved by Faith and hope in Gods redeeming power. Can’t you imagine the fervency of their message, for they just witness a miracle from the Angels of God.
But the High Priest and those with him called the council together with all the elders of the Children of Israel some 70 people and another 23 Judges with a total of 116 people together, to have Peter and John bought to them. They felt for sure they were in charge of crushing the testimony of Peter and John. What a surprise
Apostles on Trial Again
26 Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned. Their anger is under subjection, for they realized Peter and John have a great following, for this is unheard of breaking out of jail with no sign of a struggle. The Captian and his officers know that they are the ones, not that they could be beaten, so proceed with caution. To Be continued
