Chapter 13 just talked about our behavior and attitude about the civil duties and how to treat one another in order to have justice for all. Now we are going to see the impact our conscience is to our religious values within the Church. The Church needs to be healthy to be preserved in love which Paul is reminding us of. It is know the way, truth and life of the Lord that gives us the right to be called a Christian or follower of the Lord. We can afford divisions among the body of Christ we have to work together just like or Spirit, Soul and Bodies need every member to function with the greatest of ease. We are going to see the medicine needed from the sovereign balm of Gilead the Lord gave us on the cross and came alive to rule and reign by His Fathers right hand as the Holy Spirit is at work convicting people of sin.
We will see the reason for so many not accepting the truth as they do not want to be rescued and recover from the lust of sin. We need liberty not to do our thing, but Gods  will.
Romans 14 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Law of Liberty
Is not given for us to do what every we want. Liberty is a word. That has stipulations attached to it or requirement to be able to enjoy liberty without being shamed and having to hide. Adam and Eve had liberty in the Garden as long as they did not take the forbidden fruit. As so as they saw, took and ate they hide and could not continue to have liberty but now had to fulfill a law in the Old Testament and in the New Testament obey the word of God or do His will in order to have liberty
14 1. Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. Just think this is completely new plan or idea so was very hard for all to accept. For now it was possible for anyone Jew or Gentile to have freedom according to the faith given to all by God.  The law now becomes replaced by faith in God who gives one the ability to produce. Goodwill and peace. For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. It is interesting to see how easy it is to think you have a right to eat anything you want to believe without having a godly conscience that has constraining power. No one is able to eat poison without suffering the consequence. Yes people can be vegetarians and some people free to eat meat.  Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.It is very important to understand we all have different taste buds and we can judge one another thinking we know what they shouldn’t eat. That is freedom of choice that needs to be respected. Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. It is so easy to try and judge what is good food from bad food. It is difficult to work for someone who is full of evil, yet that is what many people are doing to have the liberty to do what they are doing. Look at the people living in dictatorial countries and how blest they are for doing the best they can to survive and still becoming blest. It is not who we are or where we live it is who do we serve, and obey; God or Satan?
One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. The past had many ceremonial feasts; Passover, Pentecost, New Moon, Feast of tabernacles and more they did not want to give up. Since this was a new day these things were not as important and now Christ coming was a new day dawning. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; [a]and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. Here we ae seeing the Church so easily becoming divided by the way they believe who they are. It is still so easy to want to play God and think we know what is good for others and what is not according to how the celebrate days or what they do or even eat. The question is who is. being praised and thanked for what you’re doing. Today we see people feeling very strongly they can eat or drink or even do what they want to do and no one should question them. Lord help us to see we are not out trying to please man we are living to please the Lord so we can produce good works and feel good about not offending anyone. For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. What a powerful thought in order to haver liberty; we can afford to live for ourselves; that is   for our benefit. We are always guided by the five senses of the soul imagination, reason, conscience, memory , reason and affection we have to our Spirits five sense, who do we worship, reverence, have faith and hope in to hear and answer our prayers according to His will. We can never afford to think I get to do what every I want and I will not bother you and you had better not bother me. Thank is new age that Adam and Eve had in the beginning while in Paradise. God said, do not eat the fruit of good and evil. They saw, desired, took and gave and they both ate and had to hide. Yes, it is so important we understand our Spirit in who we worship, reverence, have faith and hope in to answer our prayers. It is God who rules our universe and God who control our time on earth so let’s let Him rule and reign in everything we do and even eat and do in honoring the day. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. Thank the Lord there is no one greater than God when we see the importance of abiding in the vine; Jesus as John 15 tells us to do if we are able to produce good fruit. Are you living for the Lord so when you die you’re with the Lord in glory land of heavens splendor. God does not excommunicate us we pull our- selves out of God hands which are reaching out to us to hang onto. I find today with so much going on around the world that is out to kill any witness of God we have to be determined as never before to trust and obey the Lord.
9For to this end Christ died [b]and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. Note the first verse the weak must be received but not to doubtful disputation. Get together with those that you agree with without arguing. God gave His son Jesus so He could give us life a ransomed for our sins, Good News. We ae hitting the mark when we accept the Good news for that is what we are aiming at pleasing Him. Yes, we die to the Lord as we die out to sin, we put on a new nature of wanting to please God no longer self.  He is Lord and all His Power is given to us empowering us for service. 10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of [c]Christ. Lord help us to see we can’t afford to judge anyone unless we see with our eyes what they did is totally wrong. See when we think we have that opportunity to judge others at will we are going to get caught in a fall not knowing the truth. God is the only one that know all and see all we do and think and He is going to reward us according to what we do say and even think. This is everyone that was every alive on planent earth. This happens in the Church that damages everyone with in that Church.  11 For it is written:
As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.” This is a quote from Isaiah 45:23 It is God who gives life and takes life away so we are in the hands of the Lord mercy and grace, He will never let us go; but we can pull our of His hand and do our thing if we want we are free willed moral agents with the ability to make decisions. God gave His Son for us to accept as be believe, and confess He is Lord of our lives. Just as He controls our universe He wills to control us when we let Him come in by accepting His grace, love and mercy. I get to accept Him know and not be forced latter to His judgment of every lasting damnation.  Bowing is a sign of honor placed upon another higher in rank and Lord help us to reverence, have faith and hope in worshiping You so our prayers are answered according to Your will.
12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is not giving account of others but ourselves to how we spent our time. No one is accountable to us we are all accountable to God that gives Him the right to judge us justly.  We are accountable and responsible for our behavior and attitude. Lord help us always to see ourselves as needing You, just as we need air to breath. You’re our all in all. 13 Therefore let us not judge one another [d]anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way. We get stressed out by comparing ourselves to others for it is a form of judging others that a better than us. Let’s be careful we think we are right when we are doing wrong. Today it is so easy for society feel wrong is right and right is wrong and it is bring confusion like never before in my lifetime.

The Law of Love
14 I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. What a thought want we eat is not as important as who we serve. God created food and we are to know what is good and bad for us. Yes we all have difference of taste and even drinks so we have to be responsible for what we desire and take. We are seeing obesity affect more today than any time in History so it not what we eat many times but how much. What a fact some food are just not tasty to some and to others it is. 15 Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.  It is so important we are connected to the Lord will and not bent on doing our thing regardless of what others think. We are seeing less love today as we approach the end of time as we know it. We have opions based on our feeling of right and wrong and can become upset and even bitter about what others are doing with their walk with the Lord. It is so important we understand one another and their like and dislikes so we do not get condemning but lovingly look at and appreciate one another as labors together in the fields of life.
h16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; It is so easy today to see good as evil for anything seems to be accepted and good is still God best for us for their is no degrees of being good with God.  You’re either a believer or you’re not. 17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. I hope you’re seeing the importance of what life is as you abide in the vine; for your salvation is not in what you eat or drink it is in the Lord who gives you the ability to do what is right so you can be righteous knowing peace regardless of what is happen around you. The joy of the Lord is given by God and can never be fulfilled without knowing who you are, where you are and where you’re going after death. The Holy Spirit is the spirit that the Lord wants us to have, so we are not defeated by sin but alive in the Lord to empower us to be pure and holy.18 For he who serves Christ in [e]these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. Being approved by God has many blessing and the most important one is having men accept you, God has chosen us and it bring reward one of which people see you as ok. We are living in a time when people are not approved in who they are for the heart of man is desperately wicked who can know it. This is the reason so many people can’t be trusted today in every area of societies. People that are trusted are people that know the truth act upon the truth and are real not fake.
19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may [f]edify another. Note some of the characteristic needed to be a leader of men. Confident in the Lord, committed to right, Able to delegate responsibility, Creative, Honest, speak with clarity, have the ability to have strategy, be consistent and have a passion for self and others.  We are all ambassadors for the Kingdom of God and show it as well as tell it.
20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with [g]offense. Here again Paul is wanting to make sure we are not condemning of the food that people eat. Are all food good for us and give good health? No! Lord give us wisdom to know what is good for not only the bodies five senses, but the souls five senses of conscience, reason, imagination, memory and affection, and our spirit five senses of who we put our trust in worshipping, reverencing, hoping and having faith in to answer our prayers according to Gods well not doing our thing, so we can be healthy in every area of our lives. 21 It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles [h]or is offended or is made weak.We do not have to look far to see the effects on people caused by improper eating and drinking. It seems like we are living in time who cares; I will not bother you so you do not bother me and we will get along just fine. This is a lie form the enemy himself for we all have to be responsibile for what we eat, see, do, hear, taste and smell if we are going to have goodwill and peace toward all. 22 [i]Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. 2 Timothy 1:7 the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and a sound mind. The Lord wants us to not feel condemned but realize He was condemned in our stead on the cross. It is so easy to feel like we can’t but God say I can make you fishers of men. That is a positive statement for God wants us to be successful.  23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eatfrom faith; for whatever is not from faith is [j]sin. It is faith in God not faith in anything but God. Faith is needed for we are seeing evil becoming popular in most area of life like Governments, Economic and Religious institutions. God gave everyone faith the size of mustard seed and that is small but when it grows. By exercising, it grows to where it become bigger and bigger with the ability to handle the Problems that the Lord allows to come our way!
