I am sure you're realizing
how important it is to know that sin is sin and it prevents us from being holy
and glorified in the beloved, so number one we have to admit we are sinners and
in need of help and that help come as I abide in the vine as John 15 shows us. Number
2 is making sure we let God remove all our sins as we are born again and
wanting now to live for Christ. This is being disciplines to read His love
letter to become more and more like him so all bitterness is gone. So, never
forgets to make a decision every day to continue to abide in the Lords loving
arms for He cares for us. So, I am making sure I turn everything over to the
Lord, so I climb the third ring on the ladder of success. I am learning life is
always making sure I keep climbing to the fourth ring of success as I make a
moral inventory of what and who I am. Then step five is admitting to myself and
my fellow human being, I am not perfect, but keeping myself pure in the Blood
of the Lamb of God, by confessing every time I do wrong to God, myself and
others, so I can love my enemies and pray for them. Now I am climbing to the
sixth step letting God have His way as I repent of my defects and character. Then
as I look at the seventh step I am humbly asking God to forgive my shortcoming,
so I am faithful to obeying the Lords will. This gives me the responsibility to
climb another ring to the 8th step, making sure I know who I am
harming and willing to ask them to forgive me and help me to understand
everyone matters. I learn the ninth step is so necessary and that is direct
amends need to be made when possible without hurting self or others. Then we
are ready for step 10. We continued to take personal inventory
and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it. 1 Corinthians 10:12 I "If you think you
are standing firm, be careful you don't fall." You or I, is so important, that
is I need to keep abiding in the Lord, for without Him we are going to fail. We continue to take
inventory of ourselves to assure we keep a clear conscience, so our memory,
imagination, reasons, and affections are pure and holy, so we are ambassadors
for the Lord. He calls us to walk in the light and we do that when we accept
Romans 12: 1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that
you present your bodies, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which
is a reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove that is that good
and acceptable and perfect will of God”. We ask the Holy Spirit to
search us daily and when we are wrong we promptly admit it. This is making sure
the Lord is the one who is inspiring us to become more and more like Him. Our faith has given us
healthier thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We find our hope is making sure we
are abiding in the Lord. The we are dedicated to worshiping and reverencing
only the Lord, so our faith in God is able to see our prayers answered. We have replaced fear,
guilt, shame, isolation, loneliness, anger and other destructive behaviors
with:
Replacements for Fear Gratitude we are thankful for every step to the road of promise of recovery, restoring all Satan has stolen from us. Then we find; Acceptance, knowing we are loved and wanting then to love others, so they can be a blessing also. Humility- is showing meekness, that is not being afraid to admit, we always need help, every moment of the day. I can’t He can. This is growing in favor with God who created us for goodwill and peace. Forgiveness- Becomes a moment by moment activity, when we do what is wrong, we say I’m sorry and stop doing wrong and are bent on doing what is right. Generosity- This is the hallmark of the Christian life, that is seen around the world, for it is the Church that is giving assistance and aid to those hurting from disaster. We see this more than ever as our weather is causing wide spread destruction. Even where there are forest fires, people help fight and give of themselves and give what is needed to relieve the suffering. Caring- We are concern with everything God created and make sure we respect nature and show human kindness for all under all type of circumstances. Truth-Is always the same and can’t be bent to suite our needs. But, yes, is yes and no’s, are no’s. White is white and black is black, up is up and down is down. Truth can’t be a lie, or it is not the truth. We are seeing fake new fake truth to where the truth is a lie and the lie is now the truth. That is the reason we need to know the way-truth and life found in the basic instructions before leaving earth the Bible. Patience-This is having the ability to maintain one’s anger and keep in a state of being relaxed regardless of what is going on. Respect- Is having the ability to see all God created us good and important, for all life matters. It is respecting God that allows us to respect self and then others. We can’t respect without the mercy and grace of the Lord. Humor-Life is fun and when we can’t have fun we become bored and despise life. We make a gratitude list and add to it daily. We learn about H.A.L.T. We don't become too: Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired. We seek Godly counsel when needed. We have learned to associate with healthy people. Proverbs 27:17 "Just as iron sharpens iron, people sharpen people." We learn to guard, protect, and polish our Temple, as it is the dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. I trust your see the virtue of abiding in the vine and letting God take care of your life, for it the only one you have and only what is done for Christ is going to last. |
