What a statement He is alive and living in our hearts as we accept the Bible that He is the way, the truth, and Life. The disciples and followers of the Lord could not understand this truth, for they expected God to set up His Kingdom on the earth now and rescue then form the tyranny of Rome now.

Are we not looking for God to take control of the mess the world seems to be in right now. War, terror, loss of law and order abounding, social security running out of money, right to life being threaten, same sex marriage being approved. The courts of the land honoring what seems wrong, declaring wrong is right and right now becoming wrong. This causes lots of stress, note how Jesus handles what the disciples were going through.

Two of the Disciples who were on the way home were depressed, disappointed and sorrowful when a stranger joined them whom they did not recognize. Luke 24:17 says, This stranger said to them, what manner of communications are these that you have one with the other, as you walk, and are sad? One of the men said do you not know what happen in Jerusalem? Jesus said what things? They told him what had just happened this Jesus was condemned to death by crucification. We thought he was going to be our ruler but a women said, she went to the burying site of the tomb and the body of Jesus was gone. He is raised from death.

Jesus said to them in the 28 & 29tth verse, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken, ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and enter to his glory.

Jesus begin to talk about all he did in the Old Testament and the New Testament and when he is finishing he says to them PEACE be unto you.  They were scared, terrified and supposed this man was a spirit. Jesus said, Why are you troubled and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me have.

Still they could not believe and Jesus said, to them have you any meat? They gave him a piece of broiled fish and honeycomb, Jesus took it and did eat before them. Then he again wants to assure them of who he is and says in verse 44 These are the words which I have spoken to you, while I was yet with you, that all these things must be filled, which were written in the law of Moses and in the prophets and in the Psalms, concerning me.

Now what happens next is the most important part of the Easter story, verse 45 then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures.

Do we not need the Lord to open to us the Truth of His word, and have faith in God to believe he is alive and wants to come into our hearts, as we wait upon the Holy Spirits leading, His comforting presence? That is real peace he promised us at Pentecost, are we waiting for the comforter, or are we taking things into our hands?

Lord help me to let you come and manifest your self to me. Open my eyes that I may see you mercy and grace as I confess my sins and say, Forgive me Lord for my unbelief.

Do you see the star? Do you see Jesus has a purpose for you? Are you alive in the Lord or are you wanting to control everyone around you?

Thank you Lord for the fact you are alive wanting to give me new life this Easter, as I continue to accept your way, truth and life.

Do not forget who you are either a child of the Lord or one that is serving Satan.

Lord HELP me to understand who you are, and what we are as mankind. Thank you for the Blood you gave that we might have life, a real support system that keeps us alive to wanting to obey you, as we abide in your love.

Thank you that you’r bigger than any problems the world is facing right now, and my confidence is in you.

How about you is Christ alive and are you practicing Romans 12:1-2?
